Winter Olympics 2018: The US Olympic Committee (USOC) regrets that its athletes are “still too white.”

USOC officials are pleased that their current delegation includes more African-Americans and Asian-Americans than any previous one – and even the first two openly gay

But they also recognize that this year’s US Olympic team is still overwhelmingly white.
“It’s not enough yet,” said Jason Thompson, Director of Diversity and Inclusion for the USOC. “I think total inclusion has always been a priority for Team USA. I think this delegation should represent all Americans.”
