Quebec: ‘Barbarian invasion is not up to Québec to integrate with Islam’, an exhibition on multiculturalism vandalized

Photo exhibition of the ephemeral Place du Pont Dorchester in Quebec City was vandalized for a second time in a few weeks. The ephemeral place was inaugurated at the end of July and presents the open-air exhibition Faces of Diversity, by photographer Éric Côté.

His photographs document the reception of refugees and their first steps in Quebec.

The photographer confirms that this is the second time that hate messages have been written on part of the exhibition. He was able to clear them the first time, but was not able to do it for the second act of vandalism.

In the picture of a Muslim family, passersby can read, for example, ‘Barbarian Invasion. It’s not up to Quebec to integrate with Islam. ‘
