In a video that his entourage broadcast on Facebook, we see Matteo Salvini speaking at a meeting of European Interior Ministers and denounce the idea apparently previously expressed by Jean Asselborn, Luxembourg Minister, that aging Europe needs immigrants.
‘I have a completely different perspective. I think I am in the government, paid by my fellow citizens, to help our young people to start making children again (…) and not to root out the African youth,’ he explains.
‘In Italy, we feel the need to help our children to have more children.
And not to have new slaves to replace the children we no longer do, ‘ says the powerful man of the Italian government.
In the foreground on the video, Jean Asselborn begins to react: ‘Oh, it is abused there!‘.
But Matteo Salvini insists: ‘If in Luxembourg you need a new immigration, I prefer to keep Italy for the Italians and start making children again’.
