Maria Enzersdorf, Austria: A Nigerian migrant entered a playground and threatened children, then attacked police

A shocking incident happened on Thursday in the town of Maria Enzersdorf in Lower Austria, south of Vienna. A 25-year-old asylum-seeker is being held after he threatened several children on a playground with a chisel. He also injured two policemen before being placed under arrest.

The incident began while the Nigerian was sitting on a park bench near the children’s playground. He began verbally threatening the children and was brandishing a chisel, which he finally threw at them. Witnesses then alerted police officers, who had to wrestle the man to the ground before they could arrest him.

The police have not provided any information as to the man’s motives, as the investigation is still ongoing, as reported on Friday morning by the National Police of Lower Austria.
