Mourmelon, France: Kévin, 17, murdered for “giving a bad look”

A 17-year-old boy who was walking with a girl in the park in Mourmelon-le-Grand, near Reims, at around 3 PM on Saturday. Upon encountering the suspect, he became angry when he thought the boy “gave him a bad look,” and tried to take the girl’s handbag, according to her report. The boy resisted and an altercation ensued, and the boy was stabbed in the back. According to investigators, he was stabbed at least twenty times, including a slit in his neck, indicating a particularly violent assault. He soon succumbed to his injuries.

The suspect fled the scene, but was arrested on Monday night.
