On Wednesday, several Norwegian politicians attended a seminar in Brussels, Belgium. After their day’s work, two of them went for a drink in the city center.
Mayor Alf Erik Andersen of the Progress Party (national right) was coming out of a bar when he was attacked and kidnapped in a car. Finally, the attackers threatened him with a knife and tried to force him to withdraw money from several ATMs.
They abandoned their victim on the spot. The Norwegian politician has lodged a complaint with the Brussels-Capital Ixelles Police.
