Algeria: Violence against a migrant child; “African solidarity”

A video showing a sub-Saharan child being violently beaten by an Algerian has been circulating on social media since Wednesday morning, shocking many viewers.

The video shows a sub-Saharan migrant child begging to a man of strong build. The child is then slapped by him with such force that he is knocked to the ground and becomes soaked in a rain puddle.

The blow is accompanied by a vulgar insult from the man, who seems to be the driver of the bus he climbs into just after committing the scandalous act. Others are heard sneering at the child.
